NOTE: We can no longer park at the Heritage Pointe Mall (e.g., Stockman's Lounge). Please park at the sports fields parking lot. Otherwise, you may be ticketed.

This ride replaces the Castle Mountain Junction to Moraine Lake ride because of the wet weather forecasted around Banff and Lake Louise. The wet weather comes to Calgary on Thursday so get a ride in while it's still dry in Calgary on Wednesday.

<Cranky>: Rain, rain rain. All your rides seem to either be wet or cancelled due to rain and are hilly too. How about a ride in a dryer, flatter part of the province? Have you ever heard of the classic Dunbow 77? Since I haven't been riding due to the wet (and windy!) weather this year, I need something flatter as my legs aren't yet trained from the lack of cycling. And it's soon July! 

<Coordinator>: Is this the ride you mean? However, we've had to move the start location (see above) so it's now 78 km. By the way, my Waiparaous ride was dry even though the forecast was for a good chance of showers. The rain happened well after the tailgate party. And my Enchilada ride was dry, sunny and warm too: unusual for Banff some might say.

Tired of climbing hills? Join us for a flatter rolling ride starting at Heritage Pointe. Enjoy the rolling prairie countryside, the views afforded by the Sheep River and Bow River valleys, especially with the views of the Rocky Mountains to the west.

This is the classic EVCC Dunbow 77 ride, except that the ride now starts at the nearby Heritage Pointe sports fields parking lot rather than the nearby mall so it should really be called Dunbow 78.

We stop halfway at the Gladys Union cemetery for a lunch break. Bring a sandwich!
