The route starts at the Spruce View community hall. Spruce View is a farming community west of Innisfail, east of Caroline along Hwy 54.
The short route shares part of the long route as a direct ride across the Dickson Dam, part way around Gleniffer Lake then back the same way. It is a relatively flat route (209 m climbing over 54 km) with Rocky Mountain vistas to the west the whole way and little to no traffic.
Refreshments served and rest rooms available at the turn around point--Lake Gleniffer boat launch parking area.
Post ride pizza is provided by EVCC at the Tivoli Café in Spruce View.
The easiest way to reach Spruce View from Calgary is via Hwy 2 to Innisfail then Hwy 54 West to Spruce View.
The EVCC is supporting this fund raiser for Myeloma Canada through equipment loans and volunteer expertise to put on the event.
Those wishing to donate to Myeloma Canada are welcome to do so and their contribution would be welcome but there is no requirement to do so.
*Myeloma is Latin for marrow tumor, a form of cancer. Learn more about the 3 Canadian Myeloma rides and the fund raising efforts.
