Coordinators:  Bob Baxter, Nancy Baxter

Route description:

To begin our adventure, exiting the parking lot, we will ride DOWNHILL where we cross under the new extension of the Stoney Bridge, into Bowness Park and around through Baker park where we can enjoy the beautiful Bow River lazily flowing by. Then.......yes.......we will ride UPHILL into and through Scenic Acres where we will go across the Stoney Trail footbridge and enter back into Tuscany. From there, we follow the multi-use paths north to the LRT station and then meander through the neighborhood UP (Yes, you got it. It will be a ride involving a lot of UP) to 12 Mile Coulee Rd. From there we cross over into the quiet neighborhood of Blue Ridge and into Watermark with it's multiple ponds and waterfalls. There we shall break for lunch and enjoy the thoughts that we 'completed' the UPS on our trek. Well.....maybe a bit more but not so measurable. Bearspaw is the next and last neighborhood we shall roll on through and then find our way back into Tuscany returning to our start point. NOTE; Also, in this ride, we take in brand new and amazing homes in the neighborhood of Watermark, quiet roads feeling very semi-rural, older homes on huge lots and pastureland with stunning views, from many vantage points, of our beautiful 'still snow covered' Rocky mountains. Gain 385m.

Location: 12 Mile Coulee Natural Environment Park. Approach on Stoney Trail. Take the Scenic Acres/Tuscany Link off ramp west onto Tuscany Boulevard. Go north 200m and turn left into a parking lot fronting three condo buildings to the left.
