Mallard Point, Silverado, Spruce Meadows 51

Coordinator: Peter Bradbury

This new circle ride start at Mallard Point, follows the Bow River pathway south and through the Lafarge Meadows, and turns upwards at Chaparral Valley. Entering Chaparral, it circles around the lake on a pathway. Afterwards the route uses the new 194 Street connector to link up with Silverado for a tour of that community.

The route hops over to Spruce Meadows at the time the venue is hosting the Masters international show jumping competition. We have a picnic lunch there.

Afterwards the route heads north and west through Bridlewood and Evergreen. The route follows the Evergreen Estates pathway, and then turns east through Shawnee Slopes, until it crosses Fish Creek into Canyon Meadows.  The route next travels around Bonavista Lake and through Bonavista Downs and Diamond Cove, before finishing on the Bow River pathway back to Mallard Point.

The ride will have regrouping at intervals, corner guiding if necessary, and a sweep. Bring lunch. Bring your route tracking device for more enjoyment, and the possibility of leading this ride or a good variant next year.

Location: Mallard Point on the Bow River. Directions: Drive south on Bow Bottom Trail; turn left on Canyon Meadows; enter the Canyon Meadows park and curl left into the Mallard Point parking lot. Please arrive 15 minutes before start.
